The pastry chef of the White House is leaving
White House pastry chef Bill Yosses is hanging up his apron in June and heading to New York to teach nutrition.
The man behind the sweet creations served up at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue began telling friends a few days ago that he’s leaving the White House kitchen, where he’s known for his crowd-pleasing desserts and his love of the first lady’s garden, to be with his husband in New York and continue to focus on “food literacy.”
Yosses, who was hired in 2007 by former First Lady Laura Bush, is planning to start “a group and foundation of like-minded creative people,” he told The New York Times. (MTI)
