Poultry prices may increase by one-fourth during the Spring

The poultry producers have been already forced to increase prices, but this is only the beginning: in the spring, chicken and turkey prices may increase by one-fourth. The Poultry Product Council consults today with the agri-government, over the rescuing of the sector.

During spring up to 20-25 percent price increase is expected due to the rising costs of feed and energy. The poultry producers agreed with the retailers in a 10-12 percent transfer price growth, but it can be even higher – reports Világgazdaság Online, after Népszava.
