Spring renewal: interest in surprising products increased in spring
The arrival of spring is dramatically transforming shopping habits: according to recent data from Árukereső.hu, interest in products related to home cleaning, gardening, outdoor recreation and transportation is growing at the same time. In addition to the classic seasonal categories, however, several surprising trends have emerged this year: including the spectacular rise of smart rings.
For many, spring begins with tidying up and home renovation, which is also well reflected in the search data. For example, interest in floor cleaners increased more than sixteen-fold, while many more people searched for small, yet everyday products, such as shoelaces, which saw a tenfold increase. The increase is similarly spectacular in the case of booklets, where the number of searches jumped thirteenfold, which may indicate that many people treat spring as the beginning of new projects, learning, or a more organized everyday life.
As the good weather approaches, garden-related tools naturally receive more and more attention. Interest in lawn mowers has increased by nearly 60%, as has interest in lawn aerators. Almost 90% more people were interested in sprinkler hoses, which are almost essential for garden care, while sprinklers and for tillers, an increase of about 50% can be seen. However, the garden means not only work, but also relaxation: searches for garden sets increased by nearly 75%, and searches for parasols increased by more than 85%, which indicates that many people are already preparing for outdoor recreation.
The spring season is also noticeable in the interest related to means of transportation. Searches for bicycles increased by almost a third, and searches for electric scooters increased by almost half. This shows that with the good weather, more and more people are choosing alternative forms of transportation. Meanwhile, seasonal preparation is also visible in the car categories: car tires were searched for ten times more, while car light bulbs saw a more than twofold increase.
