140,000 hectares of state-owned farmland to go on sale this spring
So far 130,000 hectares of farmland were sold to farmers within the framework of the ‘Land for Farmers’ programme. About 7,000 farmers purchased 12,000 plots. The state’s revenue from this amounted to HUF 170 billion. Until the end of spring the state intends to sell another 140,000 hectares of its land.
