Hungarians spent more, but more consciously on holidays last year
Hungarians spent more on vacation last year, compared to the year before. According to two thirds of the respondents, it is important that they do not finance their travel expenditures by borrowing – the latest Intrum Consumer Payments report was sent to MTI on Monday.
The representative survey was carried out autumn 2017, with the participation of 24,401 European citizens in 24 countries, including 1006 Hungarians.
The announcement explains that Hungarians spent 8.2 percent more than last year, about 619.9 billion forints for travels abroad, while their expenses for domestic travel increased by 6.4 percent, reaching 330 billion forints – according to the data of Central Statistical Office (KSH). (MTI)
