More smart phones were sold last year than PCs
The sales of smartphones on the world market last year, overtook the sales of personal computers – shows the analysis of the Canalys market research firm.
The retail trade sold 158.5 million smartphones in the fourth quarter of 2011worldwide, 57 percent more than the 101.2 million of the fourth quarter in 2010. The total sales last year increased to 487.7 million, which exceeds the 299.7 million of the previou year’s by 63 percent – reports MTI.
