Supporting good causes has been extremely important for PENNY since the beginning, in this spirit, the CSR projects will continue this year, and the year 2022 was also extremely busy in this field. A defining milestone was the one-year cooperation with the Hungarian Red Cross. The long-standing organization and PENNY joined forces at the beginning of last year to help families fleeing the war in Ukraine with product and monetary donations. And before the Christmas holidays, they collected durable food, cleaning and hygiene products for those in need, thus making the everyday lives of those living in difficult circumstances more beautiful and easier. During the campaign, nearly 400 employees of the Red Cross and around a thousand volunteers collected a total of 31 tons of donations at the collection points located in more than 150 Hungarian PENNY stores.
The company helped the Együtt a Dananatos Gyermekékert Foundation, which has been supported for 15 years now, with HUF 25 million. From the amount, he contributed to the organization’s work by purchasing a vital laser device and a special minibus that facilitates the transportation of sick children.
