Romanian beer consumption stagnated last year
Romanian beer consumption stagnated last year. Romanians drank an average of 80 liters of beer per capita in 2016 – the Romanian Brewers’ Association announced.
According to data provided by the economic and financial newspaper Ziarul Financiar on Thursday, last year 15.8 million hectoliters were sold. The data is the same as in 2015.
The Romanian beer market in 2008 reached a peak, when 100 liters of beer consumed per head. Producers in Romania are not intended to reach the peak of nine years ago, they are much more happy that the market has stabilized. (MTI)
