Praline and chocolate sales grow in 2008
According to Nielsen last year 7% more food were sold in the retail as a year before.
The total value of 90 categories,
researched by Nielsen, was HUF 1300 billion, more than a half of them
came from 10 categories (meat products, beer, cheese, sparke
refreshments, coffee, fruit juice, mineral water, cooking oil,
chocolete bar and sour cream.
The grow was over the average by
cooking oil (43%), energy and sport drinks (39%), spice paprika
(28%), butter (24%), rice (20%) and pastas (19%). In volume the sales of energy drinks
grow by 46%, the increase was big by butter (10%), 9% more pralines
were sold.
Decreasing were measured by icecream
(17%) and cooking oil (12%). Meat products, pastas and sour cream
stagnated in volume.
