The growth rate of air passenger traffic slowed down last year
Compared to 2018, the growth rate of air passenger traffic has fallen slightly last year, but flight utilization has reached record levels, according to a statement, published on the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) website.
According to data, last year’s performance growth in passenger kilometers slowed to 4.2 percent, following a 7.2 percent increase of a year before.
Flight utilization, meanwhile, rose to a record 82.6 percent from a record 81.9 percent of two years before.
Last year, the highest occupancy rate was in Europe (85.2 percent), with North America having the second highest occupancy rate of 84.9 percent. (MTI)
