A significant increase occured in the rate of domestic bank savings last year
According to GfK’s survey; In Hungary, 17 percent of the population believe that they can save, in the fortcoming 12 months.
The survey covers 14 Central and Eastern European countries. According to a survey; in the other countries the proportion of those, who are willing to save and believe that they can make it, significantly reduced in 2009.
All in the countries that were surveyed, the population reserve for the more difficult periods, to support their children and increasingly for the years of retirement. Among the bank products, the bank account is still the most popular, but the attractiveness of securities significantly decreased.
