Food sales price grow by 2.8%
According to Central Statistic Office Domestic sales prices of industry rose by 2.4% in February 2009 compared to the previous month and were 6.6% higher than in February 2008.
Domestic sales prices of manufacturing
branches were 2.9% higher in February compared to those measured in
January 2009. In food industry, representing a significant weight
within the domestic sales of industry, a 2.8% price
increase was observed, breaking the trend of decelerating price rises
recorded in the preceding seven months.
Export sales prices of industry as a
whole measured in HUF were 3.8% higher in February 2009 than in the
previous month, and rose by 9.0% compared to February 2008. The HUF
depreciated by 6.7% against the EUR and 10.2% against the USD in
comparison to the previous month, and by 13.9% against the EUR and
31.3% against the USD compared to February 2008.
