The total sales revenue of the Bosch Group in Hungary was 2058 billion forints, its turnover on the Hungarian market was 313 billion forints in 2024, the group of companies spent 135 billion forints on research and development in the country, and the same amount on investments – the group of companies told MTI on Thursday.

According to the information, the group of companies’ turnover on the Hungarian market of 313 billion forints – its sales revenue from sales outside the group – also reflected the changing demand environment, its total sales revenue decreased by 7 percent compared to the previous year’s results. When asked by MTI about the profit, they said: they do not comment on this.

Bosch spent 135 billion forints on research and development in Hungary in 2024, and employed 17,400 people as of December 31, 2024, of whom 3,800 work exclusively in R&D areas, the announcement said.

It was detailed that Robert Bosch Elektronika Kft. expanded its production of inverters, power modules and charging converters for electric drive technology applications in 2024, which are key in the market for plug-in hybrid and pure electric vehicles. A digital solution was developed at the Hatvan factory that enables real-time, automated monitoring of production processes, downtimes, cycle times and inventories.

The multifunctional hall of Robert Bosch Automotive Steering Kft. in Maklári was handed over last December. Robert Bosch Energy and Body Systems Kft. in Miskolc has started series production of solenoid valves, which play an important role in the thermal management systems of vehicles. AI-based manufacturing solutions, such as error analysis on eBike drive production lines, have brought significant progress. The site has also been active in the field of education, launching training in the everyday use of generative AI.
