Last year, Hungary’s goose-meat production decreased by 8 thousand tonnes
The economic crisis also affected the waterfowl-breed. While the quantity of goose-meat in Hungary was 43 thousand tonnes in 2008, last year, it was only 35 thousand tonnes.
This is also very meaningful, because Hungary gives 90 percent of the world’s goose liver export, despite the fact that dastardly attacks were against Hungarian geese breeders in the international press, that also contributed the decrease in exports.
The farmers are hoping, that quantity can be increased by one thousand tonne this year – reports MTI.
