“Retail trade grew in every month of last year, but in December this pace slowed slightly stopped. The growth was generally influenced by the sale of fuels, industrial goods and food”
– said Jana Gotvaldová. While December was the weakest month last year, the highest growth, 5.7 percent, was shown in April.
Last year, fuel sales exceeded the previous year’s sales by 8.4 percent, industrial goods by 4.4 percent, and food by 0.6 percent. “It can be stated that every month, online sales were the ones that promoted consumption the most” – noted the specialist director.
