Last year, the amount of waste sent for recovery increased by 29.3 percent
Last year, the amount of municipal waste collected within the framework of the public waste management service was 3.245 million tons, of which 1.088 million tons were handed over for recovery, which is 29.3 percent more than in the previous year, the Hungarian Energy and Utilities Regulatory Authority (MEKH) told MTI on Tuesday.

The amount of municipal waste collected has increased by almost 1/3 on an annual basis
In 2020, 75 percent of the waste collected was mixed, 9 percent was organic and green, 8 percent was packaging, 4 percent was waste, 1 percent was glass, and 3 percent was in the other category. (MTI)
