Inflation in the Czech Republic was 2.1 percent year-on-year – the Czech Statistical Office published on Thursday.
It has been the third highest Czech inflation in the past ten years. Prices have increased faster only in 2012 (3.3 percent) and in 2017 (2.5 percent).
“The rising prices of food, spirits, soft drinks, tobacco and transport have contributed the most to inflation” – Pavla Sedivá, chief expert of the statistical office told at the press release. (MTI)
