150 billion HUF spent on domestic advertising last year
One hundred and fifty billion HUF was the domestic advertising cake in 2011 – was said at the Media Market and Research 2012 conference in Tapolca. On the forum of the media, advertising and marketing professionals – organized for the third time, by Médiapiac.com – Skriba Judit, leader of the Hungarian Advertising Association reported on the progress of the advertising spendings.
Television still holds the largest slice of the cake, although the 55 billion HUF annual revenue and the 36 percent share ratio shows a steadily declining trend since 2008.
The press has 41.6 billion HUF revenue – with a 28 percent share ratio – but showed a slight increase compared to 2010. Kovács Tibor, leader of the Hungarian Newspaper Publishers' Association told that compared to 2010, newspaper market revenues fell by 11 percent.
According to Novák Péter, chairman of IAB; advertisers spent 12 percent more a net 30 billion HUF last year, on Internet advertisings, compared to 2010. (Népszabadság Online)
