The mangalica sector defies against the crisis
The Hungarian mangalica breeders were managed to maintain the Hungarian mangalica breding on the same level, compared to the previous year, despite the difficult economic conditions.
Last year, the Hungarian mangalica breeders had about 8,000 sows and slaughtered 50-60 thousands porker pigs – said Tóth Péter, president of the National Association of Mangalica Breeders the at the announcing press conference of the fourth Mangalica Festival on Thursday in Budapest. Tóth Péter told that the mangalica porkers gave the two percent of the total Hungarian pig slaughters last year – vallalkozoinegyed.hu.
