Raw milk’s price stays put
According to AKI PÁIR, the producer price of raw milk in Hungary was HUF 164.3/kg in February 2024.

With a 0.07 percentage point decrease in fat content, a 0.06 percentage point drop in protein content and a 1% increase in the base price, the average price of raw milk remained unchanged if compared to January 2024, and was 24% below the average price in the same month of 2023. The export price of raw milk was HUF 156.25/kg, down 1% vs. January 2024 and 12% vs. February 2023. The export price was 5% lower than the average producer price. According to the AKI PÁIR, raw milk deliveries increased by 9% in February 2024 compared to the same month of the previous year. In Hungary the producer price of table wheat – excluding VAT and transport costs – was HUF 65.7 thousand/tonne (-28% year-on-year), feed wheat cost HUF 61.7 thousand/tonne (-29%), and buyers had to pay HUF 58.5 thousand /tonne (-38%) for feed corn in the third week of March. //
