The National Active Tourism Strategy is ready for social debate
The National Active Tourism Strategy is ready for social debate, everyone can send their comments from Tuesday – the state secretary responsible for active Hungary announced at a press conference in Budapest on Tuesday.
Máriusz Révész explained that the strategy determines the development directions of domestic tourism, can define Hungary’s image in the long term, and can also increase the number of foreigners, especially those coming from neighboring states. At the same time, boosting active tourism can mainly stimulate domestic guest traffic, which, in addition to increasing the amount spent at home, means an opportunity for rural areas to break out and a livelihood for those who live there, he pointed out.
In addition to the social and economic benefits, the development of the strategy is also justified by health protection aspects, since the positive effects of active recreation can also be felt at the level of the national economy, he added.
