METRO held a social responsibility day
The METRO Gastronomy Academy prepared 100 portions of hot food and donated them to those in need, while METRO employees working in different areas participated in a volunteer day on November 28. The complex program was implemented by the wholesale trade in cooperation with the Hungarian Food Bank Association.
100 servings of Bakony chicken were packed in boxes with the help of the METRO Gastronomy Academy team
It is a tradition at the company that once a year a day is specifically dedicated to social responsibility, with which I would like to draw the attention of the employees to the forms of philanthropy. This year, within the framework of the Magyar Élélmiszerbank Egyesület’s Charity project, METRO volunteers prepared and packed Christmas lunches for needy families.
At the same time, the team of the METRO Gastronomy Academy prepared 100 portions of Bakony chicken, and the Hungarian, traditional one-dish meal was distributed to 100 needy people through the local partner organization of the Magyar Élélmiszerbank Egyesület, the Érdi Baptista Yülekezet.
