The majority of the Czechs supports the smoking ban in restaurants
78 percent of Czechs supports the ban on smoking in restaurants. 41 percent of the smokers also supports the smoking ban – shows the result of the national survey, carried out by the Ipsos polling agency and the department of sociology at the Charles University in Prague.
The reservation of smoking in restaurants was important for nine percent of the respondents. According to the survey, only a quarter of smokers visit restaurants primarily, because they are free to smoke there. In general it can be said that a complete ban on smoking in restaurants is supported by more women than men. (Kokes János, MTI)
