The EU Commission supported the duty-free import of 300 thousand tons of sugar
As expected, according to the earlier proposal the EU Commission supports the opening of a 300 thousand ton duty-free import quota.
According to the forecasts, the EU sugar stocks are enough until the end of summer, so deficit would occur without imports. The measure would come into force from the 1st of April and would last until the 30th of September until the end of the sugar season – reports szabadfold.hu.
