The Hungarian seed breeding needs support

The Szeged-based Gabonakutató Nonprofit Kft. urged the support of the Hungarian seed-breeding, at its Cereal Presentation of this year, on Tuesday.

Szilágyi László the company's managing director stressed that the Hungarian seed is a strategic product, the Hungarian producers need their products to be breeded, otherwise it will wither, and it becomes vulnerable to foreign materials.

He added, that the partners have the need of seeds, but because of financial difficulties in the future they will be working with less varieties probably. “In order to innovate and grow, help is needed” – he stressed.
