István Nagy explained that one call serves the implementation of smaller-scale investments with a budget of HUF 15 billion, and the amount of available support can be up to HUF 200 million per support application. The other call enables the implementation of complex developments, with the available funds of HUF 35 billion, and the amount of support that can be obtained can be at least HUF 200 million, but not more than HUF 1 billion. The scope of eligible activities includes the establishment of crop cleaners and dryers, seed plants; their modernization, as well as the establishment, purchase and technological renovation of related equipment and technologies. According to his information, the beneficiaries can be agricultural producers who meet the specified eligibility conditions or producer groups with state recognition, producer and social cooperatives.
The support intensity rate is 50 percent in the standard case, but 70 percent in the case of the application of technologies utilizing renewable energy sources
The 50 percent rate can be increased under certain conditions, by 15 percent in the case of young farmers and farm transfers, and by 10 percent in the case of the implementation of organic farming and collective investment. He also drew attention to the fact that farmers have 24 months to implement the developments in both calls. Another favorable condition for farmers is that in both applications, an advance payment of up to 25 percent of the awarded subsidy amount can be requested, which can also be a significant help in implementation. Moreover, if farmers use an investment loan for implementation, interest subsidies will also be available. With this call, up to several hundred agricultural enterprises can modernize their existing systems or install new systems, the minister added.
