Waberer’s is implementing its warehouse development in Debrecen without subsidies
Waberer’s announced that it plans to develop warehouse logistics in Debrecen’s priority industrial zone, but the government does not provide financial support for the project. In November, the company will decide how the content and schedule of the project will be restructured due to the lack of support – Portfolio says.
The investment is carried out by KDI Property Kft., a member of Waberer’s Group. Originally, they received a non-legally binding support offer for the implementation of the project, however, HIPA Nonprofit Zrt., under the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Affairs, notified the company in October that the Hungarian government would not provide financial resources for the development.
The need for a new logistics facility is justified by the industrial expansion of the Debrecen region, which is why Waberer’s is still examining the details of the project in order to ensure that even the unsubsidized implementation provides benefits for the region. After the analysis, the company will inform its investors about the schedule and details of the warehouse construction in November.
Waberer’s share price rose by 1.6 percent this year, reflecting the stability of the company’s position in the logistics sector as the company continues to develop its domestic infrastructure to serve growing industrial demand.
