Takarékbank: strong customer authentication extends online shopping by a few seconds
When shopping online with a credit card, all credit institutions must introduce strong customer authentication from 1 January 2021, in line with EU legislation – Takarékbank drew attention on Tuesday, noting that this will extend the purchase by a few seconds.
From January, Takarékbank’s customers will have to enter a one-time code received in a free SMS and a permanent four-digit password (Internet PIN – iPIN) for most online bank card purchases. Without them, they will not be able to accept credit card payments. (MTI)
