Supernormal or decadent? – Picture of the day
British designer Jasper Morrison conceived the Jersey cutlery collection as a proponent of “super-normal” design. The minimalist pieces are crafted from Japanese cherry wood (sakura), except for the silver-plated metal chopstick holder. The set includes a knife, fork, spoon, salad serving utensils, chopsticks and a holder. Each piece is handmade in Japan and then coated with a traditional fuki-urushi lacquer, which highlights the natural grain of the wood while providing durable, breathable and antibacterial protection. The collection is designed with functionality, precision and simplicity in mind, true to Morrison’s “super-normal” design philosophy.
