SZTNH: more and more new trademarks to appear

Last year, 4,192 trademark applications were received by the National Office of Intellectual Property (SZTNH). In the last 10 years, more trademark applications (4599) were only received by the Office in 2012, the SZTNH said in a statement issued on Friday.

Almost 4,200 trademark applications received by SZTNH last year

Last year, most applications were received from pharmaceutical companies (Egis, Richter) and the administration (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Hungarian Tourism Agency), but several Hungarian companies (such as WeLoveShirts, Lajvér Borház) also excelled in this area.

In Hungary, the National Office of Intellectual Property has been dealing with applications for 126 years now. (MTI)
