Gloomy outlook: Hungarian hospitality in 2012
We can be glad that Hungary has restaurants, that are considered as competitive by international restaurant guides. Hungarian gourmets can find specialties in several hundred domestic restaurants.
But in many places the staff is much more less enthusiastic. The restaurant-goers often do not even know, that the professionals consider the situation of the profession tragic, while the cooks are employed for little money and are working 10+ hours in the great majority of the small businesses.
