Next Saturday, the Open Days Porta event series will begin with the introduction of the Szatmár and Bereg regions, the organizers told MTI.

Almost 30 producers will present their products and activities at 12 locations of the opening event. In addition to the porta tours, they will offer show cooking, experience programs and craft workshops to guests, who can try jam making, cheese making, vegetable and herb processing, among other things, while they can explore the Bereg Circle by bike or row on the Öreg-Túr.

Other regions of the country are also waiting for those interested with free events until October 5. On September 20-21, the settlements known as the Swabian Corner will be introduced, followed by the Kisalföld, the Alpokalja and Dél-Zala on September 27-28, and the region from the Balaton Uplands to the Vasi-hegyhát on October 4-5. The events based on local products and gastronomic offerings are also joined by the member restaurants of the Stílusos Vidéki Éttermiség (SVÉT), which promote quality food with special offerings and presentations – they wrote.

According to the announcement, the initiative to promote agrotourism is a continuation of the micro-regional events of recent years, which are being raised to a national-level event series this year by the Herman Ottó Institute Nonprofit Kft. Rural and Regional Development Support Unit. In addition to SVÉT, the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK), the Hungarian Cycling Tourism Association (MAKETUSZ), the Kislépték Association, and the Pannon Local Product Cluster are assisting in the organization as cooperating partners. The list of programs will continue to expand, and all events will be published on the Nyitott Napok Porta Facebook page.
