Blonde mangalica and speckled poultry in Egerág
The breeding of indigenous domestic animals will begin in Egerág, Baranya county. The first animals and the feed for 14 month will be provided by the state in collaboration with the University of Gödöllő. Blonde mangalica and speckled poultry will be bred in the village. The goal to make the varieties as phylum bred in the village.
After almost fifteen years of preparation, Egerág became one ot of the few villages including Meder, Mátraverebély and Újkígyós which has agreed to bred indigenous Hungarian domestic animals in order to maintain their gene substance. (HírTv, Magyar Nemzet Online)
