Almost all shops are closed in Slovakia
The Slovak government has ordered emergency response from hospitals on Monday because of the spread of the new type of coronavirus, which has also decided to close the stores with some exceptions, Slovakian Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini announced on Sunday after the Central Crisis Meeting.
In Slovakia, an emergency has been in place since Thursday, and the state of emergency, which now allows for more stringent measures than the emergency, only applies to hospitals for the time being.
The government also decided on Sunday to close almost all retail outlets and service providers in the country for at least 14 days from Monday. Only grocery stores, pharmacies, drug stores, post offices, banks, gas stations, newsagents and pet food stores are exempt from the closure. (Starovic Tibor, MTI)
