Avian influenza also appeared in Slovakia
Bird flu spreading in the neighboring Poland has already appeared in Slovakia since the end of last year – the Slovak Public Service Agency (TASR) reported on Friday, referring to the communication of the Slovak Regional Veterinary and Food Inspectorate (RPVS).
The disease is reported to have occurred in the chicken stock of a small breeder in a settlement in the Nitra district. According to competent surveillance, dead animals are likely to be infected with wild birds. (MTI)
