Slovakia has branded the Chimney cake long ago

The initiative to declare the Chimney cake as a European traditional specialty product will be tough in Austria – mno.hu wrote.

The International Chimney Cake Professional Boards has taken steps to registrate the candy as an Austrian product, after according to the professional organization the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) wanted to restrain it. But it seems that the debate is pointless, because Slovakia in 2007 put the product under protection under the skalicky trdelník name. (mno.hu)
