Slovakia: few transactions, enterprise-friendly environment
In Slovakia the number of completed transactions in the retail sector doubled, from 1 to 2 in the first eight months of 2011. Statistical data indicate a slowing down in consumption, since November 2010 the average monthly decrease in retail sales has been 1.33 percent. We think that there will be stagnation in the number of transactions in 2011. Recommendations for the retail sector: 0-percent dividend tax, lack of capital is not regulated, unlimited write-off for a 7-year period.
