“This is a very serious and very big problem. At the same time, I would like to say with this announcement that after today’s government meeting, the National Epidemiology Committee will meet in the case,” said the Slovakian Minister of Agriculture, whose words were quoted by the Slovak public service news agency TASR. The ministry leader pointed out that he was confident that the viral infection for the first time after fifty years would be stopped. He underlined that in the cultures where the incidence of infection has been confirmed, the entire livestock should be destroyed. In connection with the occurrence of the disease in Slovakia, the Ma7.Sk Highlands Hungarian News Portal wrote, citing information from the ministry, that the infection was detected in the breeds of the bears, Csiliznyárad and Baka.
