According to the latest measurements by Időkép, the water temperature is exceptionally warm in several places on Lake Balaton, almost boiling.

For example, 25.8 °C has been measured in Balatonlelle, which is close to 26 degrees. The water temperature in Gyenesdiás is 25 °C, in Siófok 24.3 °C, in Alsóörs 23.1 °C, in Balatonfenyves 22.8 °C, while in Révfülöp 21.9 °C.

The hot weather will continue in the coming days: a heat alert is in effect for the entire country in the first days of the week, with peak temperatures between 33 and 39 degrees.
