Temu’s “Hungarian people” take the stage: every second online customer in Hungary has already ordered from the platform

According to a recent compilation by Forbes Checkout , Temu’s domestic customer base grew to 2.1 million by the end of the year, and half of online buyers have recently purchased on the Chinese marketplace – citing a survey by PwC Hungary.

According to PwC’s year-end mini-research, the average total spend among Temu customers in the past three months was 29,252 forints, and the average number of purchases per user was 3.7 times. Ildikó Cserjés-Kopándi, Senior Manager at PwC Hungary, told Forbes Checkout that “ultra-cheap, impulsive shopping” has become mainstream, and ordering from Temu is now a familiar, less risky decision for many.

According to the newspaper, a total of 5–6 professionals may work in Hungary on the domestic construction of the marketplace.
