Péter Szijjártó: Italy is Hungary’s fifth most important trade partner

One of the most important tasks of the next period will be the restoration of European economic competitiveness, no one should be allowed to destroy European industry on the basis of political ideologies and put hundreds of thousands of jobs at risk – the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade wrote on his Facebook page on Monday, after meeting in Rome with Raffaele Fitto EU – affairs with a minister without portfolio.

In his post, Péter Szijjártó highlighted: Italy is Hungary’s fifth most important trade partner, last year the Hungarian export record was broken, amounting to 8.5 billion euros.

Italian companies form the 11th largest investor community in Hungary, they employ twenty thousand people, the Hungarian government has supported nine investments in recent years, the minister added.
