The head of the ministry reported that the Factory Rescue Program was launched by the government after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, so that domestic companies can strengthen their independence from the completely unpredictable fluctuations of the international energy markets, and thus be able to preserve jobs and maintain their economic performance.
He pointed out that within the framework of the program HUF 120 billion will be provided for the energy efficiency and renewable energy investments of 140 beneficiary companies, so that they can create the conditions for safe operation, and as a result, about HUF 300 billion in development can be created.
According to the current announcement, twenty-five companies were given the support certificate, which will be helped with HUF 27.5 billion. Out of this, HUF 61 billion in investment will be created, and thanks to this, more than 12,000 jobs will become concrete-safe. The projects are expected to reduce energy use by 12,471 megawatt hours.
