The requirements for prescribing antibiotics for food-producing animals are tight
The Nebih draws the attention of veterinarians treating food-producing animals that, under the relevant decree*, from 1 January 2024, an antibiotic for food-producing animals can only be prescribed by a veterinarian with a licensed official.

The permission can be checked in the central search engine of the Nebih on the prescription. In addition to the name of the veterinarian with the eligibility, the text contains the text “a veterinary prescription for a food producing animal” for a product containing antibiotics.
How can an official permit be obtained?
Eligibility can be obtained by completing the joint, regulatory training of the University of Veterinary and Nebih and in the event of a successful exam. The postgraduate course and the examination of veterinarians since 2019 who have met the requirements of a gradual subject for responsible use of antibiotics are exempt from the exam. The official certificate is valid for 5 years, which should be renewed (before the expiry) by participating in further training.
