The EU would tighten the indication on infant formulas
The European Parliament's Health and Food Safety Committee in agreement with the European Council, adopted the draft law under which they would tighten rules on indicating infant formulas and nutritional supplements.
The EU Parliament will vote on the draft in the spring. The goal is to get stronger protection for the most vulnerable groups.
According to the proposal, images would not be displayed on dairy products manufactured for babies that idealize the consumption of the product. As well the committee will overview the rules of dairy products made for 12 to 36 months children. (Világgazdaság Online)
