Sziget 2026: for the first time, half-price festival passes for students with BudapestGO

This year, Hungarian students can buy a five-day festival pass for one of Europe’s largest festivals, Sziget 2026. The Metropolitan Assembly decided on the use of the discount on November 26, 2025, based on an agreement with the Sziget Organizing Committee.

As part of the ticket promotion, users must first register on the dedicated BKK subpage with valid season tickets, after which they will receive a unique coupon code by email. The coupon code can be redeemed on the Sziget official website for the product called “Sziget Student Pass by BudapestGO”.

The promotion starts on January 19, 2026 and lasts until July 31, 2026, or – due to the limited capacity of the festival – while supplies last.

The discount is available to customers with a Hungarian student ID card and is related to passes valid for public transport in the capital. The student ID card and eligibility are checked by the Sziget Organizing Office during the admission process.

During the promotion period, a user can request a coupon code once, regardless of how many student passes they have purchased in the given period. The number of tickets is limited, and redemption is possible while stocks last.

You can participate in the ticket promotion with the following student passes purchased in the BudapestGO application:

• discounted Pest county pass
• discounted national pass
• monthly Budapest pass for students in public education
• monthly Budapest pass for students in higher education

Passes that can be used within the framework of the discounted option can be purchased in BudapestGO until 29. 07. 2026, registration is possible until 30. July 2026 at the latest, and users can redeem the coupons in the Sziget webshop until 07.31.
