LG Electronics announced organizational changes
LG Electronics (LG) has announced organizational changes in order to strengthen the capabilities inherent in the company’s operations and business competitiveness, which is another step towards the implementation of the Future Vision 2030 announced in July. The goal is for LG to transform itself into a company that offers intelligent lifestyle solutions that, in addition to manufacturing electronic devices, is also able to connect consumers’ various spaces and related user experiences.
One of the key elements of the forward-looking strategy is the newly created so-called overseas sales and marketing division that reports directly to LG CEO William Cho. The division will be headed by Thomas Yoon, who was previously the North American president and CEO of LG Electronics.
The new sales and marketing division will play a crucial role in accelerating change and growth, as well as increasing LG’s global brand power. The new organization will manage the sales activities of foreign subsidiaries in North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia, and will be responsible for the operation of the company’s global marketing group and direct sales (Direct-to-Customer D2C) business group.
