Girls love Lego
Lego sales have grown in the first half of this year, mainly due to the market success of the building blocks especially designed for girls.
The Danish toy manufacturer announced on Thursday, that the revenue increased by 13 percent to 10.4 billion Danish kroner, while net profit was 2.4 billion Danish kroner.
In April, it was announced that the Lego Group expands its production capacity in Nyíregyháza, Hungary in the scope of a 200 million euros greenfield investment. The new factory complex is situated on an about 100 hectares of area, while the production area is 122 thousand square meters. With the investment, 250 new jobs will be created. (MTI)
