Heineken to buy Serbian brewery
Heineken is one of four breweries which expressed their interest in Serbian brewer MB, based in Novi Sad.
However no formal agreement has yet been reached, but
according to reports in the local media, MB's assets are worth approximately
145 million euro. The brewery was built in 2002, and has a production capacity
of 5 million hectolitres of beer. The company is owned by Rodic MB Holding,
which is 76%-owned by Slovenian retailer Mercator.
