Prices lowered in September
In September the monthly average consumer price decrease was 0.1 percent, but compared with the level of September 2009 prices increased by 3.8 percent. According to a quick report by KSH, compared with August 2010 food prices were 0.4 percent lower in September, largely because of the 7.7 percent decrease in the price of seasonal products (the price of other food products increased by 0.8 percent). We had to pay 3.6 percent more for clothes, fuel prices augmented by 0.7 percent, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products cost 0.3 percent more and household energy prices were up 0.2 percent.
In comparison with September 2009, sugar prices lowered by 8.1 percent and pork cost 4.7 percent less. Fuels cost 15.9 percent more, pharmaceutical products were 4.5 percent more expensive and household energy prices were up 5.5 percent.
