In the ninth month of the year only the outlook for trade deteriorated, as there were no significant changes in the other three sectors. In retail trade satisfaction with business in the previous three months and with the stocks deteriorated slightly, while the evaluation of orders expected in the next three months worsened considerably. Willingness to hire was essentially unchanged in September compared to August, and there was little change in the perception of the predictability of the business environment. Price increase plans have declined only very modestly. The GKI Consumer Confidence Index hardly changed in the March-September period, after a significant swing in January-February. In September the index decreased within the statistical margin of error if compared with August. The main driver of the evolution of this indicator is the marked deterioration in the perception of own money to spend on high value consumer goods in September compared to the previous month. //
